Now celebrating its eleventh year, The Carrboro Film Festival has grown to become the premiere festival in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. Featuring world class films of every length and genre, CFF is known for packed houses and standing ovations.

This two day celebration of Film ART, NOT Film Business, is recognized by filmmakers the world over as a place to immerse themselves with like minded Film creators, creators of art in cinema. Audiences respond positively to the short films, the feature films, the narrative’s documentaries, the experimental and every film genre in between. The Carrboro Film Festival is eclectic and powerful, humorous and moving.

The Festival organizers take great pains to present the films in the best way possible, huge screens and state of the art sound systems. Presentation is paramount for us.

In addition to two days of wonderful films, we have parties, workshops and networking opportunities throughout the fest weekend.

Beginning in 2006, and now in it’s 11th year, The Carrboro Film Festival is honored to screen films from around the region and around the world.

Carrboro has a good audience. It is a good for NC films and has quality story telling as well as the usual cinema. It is was a pleasure to meet the filmmakers willing to come to NC for the screenings.

The 11th annual Carrboro Film Festival was the first film fest our movie has been accepted into and it was a terrific experience! It’s a great place for filmmakers and film lovers to gather and we had a blast. We were so well received by the festival staff, the audience and the community. It was a great weekend enjoying a wide variety of films and voices from all over the world. There were so many interesting films and we enjoyed talking with everyone. Whether you’ve been to lots of fests or are new to them, The Carrboro Film Festival is “must-do” destination. Our thanks to Nic Beery and everyone on the staff for organizing and putting on such a great event!

    All our best,
    Cindy & Michael Salerno

This is a great little festival for real film lovers! The town of Carrboro is super friendly and interesting, and the food in the area is fantastic. Everyone we met was fun to talk too, and the other filmmakers really enjoyed talking shop... or about almost anything. The films themselves were quite different from what you expect from a smaller festival, wide range of genre and subject matter, a lot of shorts, a few docs, a few features - all of them interesting.
If you have done all the big festivals, I highly recommend the Carrboro Film Festival, it'll recharge your batteries.
