Indie European Cinema & Screenplay Festival Rules and Terms
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants, please review the following rules and terms. By participating in the Indie European Cinema & Screenplay Festival, you agree to adhere to these guidelines.
General Rules
1. *Eligibility*:
The festival is open to filmmakers and screenwriters worldwide. Submissions must be original works created by the individual or team submitting them.
2. *Submission Categories*:

Best Low-Budget Film (under $4.5k)
Best Animation
Best Non-Dialogue Film

Best First-Time Director
Best Music

3. *Language*:
All films and screenplays must be in English or have English subtitles. Non-English screenplays must be accompanied by an English translation.
4. *Submission Format*:
• Films: Digital format (MP4, MOV) with a minimum resolution of 1080p.
• Screenplays: PDF format.
5. *Submission Process*:
Entries must be submitted through the official Indie European Cinema & Screenplay Festival submission portal. Submission fees are non-refundable and must be paid in full at the time of submission.
6. *Deadline*:
All submissions must be received by the specified deadline. Late submissions may be accepted at the discretion of the festival organizers, subject to additional fees.
7. *Selection Process*:
All entries will be reviewed by a panel of industry professionals. Selections will be based on originality, creativity, technical proficiency, and overall impact.
Terms and Conditions
1. *Rights and Permissions*:
• Participants must have full rights and permissions for all content submitted, including music, images, and any other copyrighted material.
• By submitting a film or screenplay, participants grant the Indie European Cinema & Screenplay Festival the right to screen the film or present the screenplay during the festival and use excerpts for promotional purposes.
2. *Content Restrictions*:
Submissions containing explicit content, hate speech, or material promoting violence or discrimination are strictly prohibited and will be disqualified.
3. *Attendance*:
While attendance is not mandatory, filmmakers and screenwriters are encouraged to attend for networking opportunities and to participate in Q&A sessions and panels.
4. *Awards and Prizes*:
Awards will be presented in various categories. The festival reserves the right to determine award categories and winners. All decisions are final.
5. *Technical Requirements*:
Selected films must be submitted in the required exhibition format by the specified deadline. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
6. *Liability*:
• The Indie European Cinema & Screenplay Festival is not responsible for any loss or damage to submitted materials.
• Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the festival organizers, sponsors, and partners from any claims arising out of their participation in the festival.
7. *Withdrawal*:
Participants may withdraw their submission at any time prior to the official selection announcement. No refunds will be issued for withdrawn submissions.
8. *Changes and Cancellations*:
The festival reserves the right to make changes to the event schedule, venue, or programming as necessary. In the event of a cancellation, submission fees will be refunded.
