Our Short Film Competition will be the first event in this year Indonesian Film Festival (IFF). Aiming to cultivate the talents of aspiring filmmakers around the world, IFF's Short Film Competition is open for any amateur filmmaker. Submissions will be judged by a panel of film critics and experts of Indonesian culture. The winning movie of our Short Film Competition will be screened at our IFF's Through the Lens.

Best Film winner:
- Certificate of Award
- Cash of $750 AUD
- Personalized feedback from judging panels
- Movie will be screened in the 14th IFF Through the Lens event on 28th March 2019
- A live screened video of the panelists’ commentary in the 14th IFF Through the Lens event

Outstanding Achievement in Techniques and Originality Winner:

By applying to enter the 14th Indonesian Film Festival Short Film Competition (14th IFF SFC), all filmmakers must comply with the following terms and conditions. Failure to abide to these terms and conditions will result in the cancellation of entering the competition.

All filmmakers should adhere to the following requirements:
- Each film should be based on 14th IFF SFC’s Theme: The Unknown
- The 14th Indonesian Film Festival Short Film Competition (14th IFF SFC) is open to all short films from any country
- Each filmmaker may only submit one short film
- Any genre is acceptable, however, we do not accept animation.
- Each short film should be 10 to 20 minutes in length (Including titles and credits)
- The film is allowed to be in any language, however, English subtitles must be provided for all languages
- Short films must only be produced after 31 December 2015 to be eligible for this competition
- All contents in your film (including footage, music, images, etc.) should be from your own production

The short film must only be submitted via YouTube and Vimeo. Please ensure that the YouTube link private settings must be changed to “Unlisted”. The link should be submitted in the 14th IFF SFC Submission Form. The IFF Committee will then send a confirmation email following your submission.

Failure to submit a YouTube or Vimeo link in the 14th IFF SFC Submission Form will lead to the short film not being considered in this competition.

The short film must be submitted within the admission date and adhere to all terms and regulations stated in this document. Any late entry or failure to adhere to the rules will not be tolerated
