The Elements Film Festival is an environmental festival based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The festival is a showcase for the best films about environmental issues, including climate change, adventure sports, exploration, nature, science, and wildlife films.
Festival programming will highlight positive stories, including films about the people that are leading the way in environmental issues, films that show successes in the face of environmental threats, and films that connect the audience to the natural world and provide new perspectives on environmental issues, through the use of new film technologies and techniques.
One of our goals is to inspire a new generation of environmental filmmakers. As such, half of our sessions will feature family-friendly programming. Films that are shown at the family-friendly sessions are subject to Consumer Protection BC Motion Picture Ratings for General or Parental Guidance audiences.
The Elements Film Festival is operated by the Elements International Environmental Film Festival Society, a BC Non-profit organization.
Awards will be provided for the audience favourite film, and for the best student filmmaker.
