The Music+Sound Awards are in their sixth year of recognising and celebrating, globally, the indispensable role that both music and sound design play in short films and the rest of the media.

We invite anyone who has been involved in the making of a short film between 1st April 2016 and 31st March 2017, where the music or sound design is vital to the story, to submit their work here via FilmFreeway.

We present two awards for music and sound in short films:

- Best Original Composition in a Short Film
- Best Sound Design in a Short Film

The physical Award can be seen in our cover image. Winners and finalists gain exposure to our network of over 21,000 contacts, including broadcasters, advertising agencies, film studios and advertising, TV and film production companies from around the world.

Entries submitted must have been made between April 1st 2016 and March 31st 2017.

Entries must not contain entrant name or branding or any other company associated with the work.

In the event that the jury feel there is not a clear winner for any given category, an award will not be issued and entry fees will not be refunded.

Entries will not be considered complete until the media has been uploaded online, the corresponding materials have been and full payment has been made.
