After a brief hiatus, Vancouver Web Fest is back and reimagined for 2025 under new management! As the digital entertainment landscape continues to evolve, VWF remains at the forefront—bringing together innovative storytellers and creators from around the world to Discover, Experience, and Participate in the future of online content.

The 2025 edition of VWF will be fully virtual, making it more accessible than ever. Attendees can look forward to exclusive online screenings, interactive workshops, and thought-provoking panels featuring top industry experts—all streamed online.

This year also features a dedicated Online Content Creator Day, with special guest panels and keynotes from leading voices in the digital space.

We are honoured that our short film “DITTO” received an Honorable Mention at the Vancouver Web Fest.

The festival maintains a high standard of curation and showcases diverse voices and strong storytelling from around the world. Communication throughout the process was clear and professional, making the experience smooth and filmmaker-friendly.

Vancouver Web Fest is a valuable platform for independent creators, and we truly appreciate the recognition and support extended to our work. We look forward to submitting future projects and staying connected with the festival community.

The Vancouver Web Fest team puts a tremendous amount of effort into this festival, to ensure that the experience of attending is pretty much seamless. The volunteers and staff really are wonderful at ensuring that everything goes smoothly throughout the weekend.

While the space was impeccable and interactive events like "speed dating" stood apart from other festival programs, what I found VWF does really does well is bring together a tremendous range of talented filmmakers from across the world. It was a privilege to meet many of the people in attendance, and a joy to see their work on the big screen (and on VR headsets).

    Thanks, Vancouver Web Fest!

The Festival is at Vancouver's Best Location - the main Conference Center. The view is incredible - of mountains and the water. The staff was very friendly. The Pitch Fest was very good for Networking. I met many Producers who may produce my next project or Canadian outlets to release this current project. The panels were very interesting, and I sometimes tried to catch more than one in the 90 minute session. The only thing is, there should have been more Women on the panels. Many panels were just Men, and especially for Directing or Producing, there were a lot of qualified Women even in the audience.

    Response from festival:

Thank you so much for your kind words and your wonderful feedback. Yes we tried to get as many women speakers as we could. We were really happy with Women in Media: Fireside Chats With Prem Gill and Catherine Winder. But will definitely continue to bring more women in film in future years as keynote speakers, panelists, and participating in workshops. Hope to see you at VWF19. Cheers! :-)

Suzette and the Team are just incredible, enjoyed the selection of speakers they had at the festival and the content selection was amazing. Plus we’ll forever love Vancouver Webfest cause we won our first award outside of Africa there.
