Liverpool Short Film Festival is a new festival that was launched in 2018 to showcase and celebrate the outstanding film work that has been created by emerging filmmakers both in and out of the city of Liverpool.
Liverpool Short Film Festival took place on Thursday 2nd August 2018 at OhMeOhMy; an amazing bar in Liverpool city centre with special guests such as Ricky Tomlinson, Caroline Tod-Richardson & Tina Malone attending.
There are two submissions categories within the festival (Best Short Film and Best Local Short) and a handful of selected finalists will be screened at the festival and judged by industry professionals.
The event is organised and hosted by Sam Birch & Andy Flush, directors of video production company Branchwork Media. Since launching in 2016, Branchwork Media has successfully crowdfunded a short film, worked with The Empire Theatre and the world famous Wicked Tour as well as TV stars such as Johnny Vegas. In August 2017 Sam & Andy graduated from SAE, both receiving First Class Honours Degrees. Liverpool Short Film Festival is the companies' latest project and with the success of the 2018 festival, they hope for it to grow & grow.
