Shortz! Film Festival was awesome to be apart of. Staff had great communication, were friendly, and they seem to really care about the films and filmmakers involved. Thanks for screening 'Walking Supply'! I would totally submit to this festival again and again.

This is a great festival! The communication was fantastic, emails were answered very quickly, and you can tell that the programmers really care about the film makers. Every selected film gets a page on the festivals website where the poster, description, and cast/crew is listed, it's a great way for people to get a feel for your film, opposed to just a general listing. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend the festival, but a friend did, and he said it was very professional, the projection/sound was great, and that the blocks he saw all had great films in them. I highly recommend submitting to this festival, I plan on submitting all of my future projects to them.

Shortz! was like discovering new family. In advance of the festival, I couldn't believe the rapid response to a couple of my email queries. Really a personal touch. All the attending filmmakers were interviewed and had the opportunity for Q&A at the end of their screening block. It's hosted by a passionate staff who do it all for the love of film.

Nice local festival in a great little city!

The passion for the festival is obvious by talking to the folks who run it. Q&A at the end which is nice when there are one or two filmmakers present per block. T-shirts and a swag bag was a welcome treat I have rarely seen at a festival. and free popcorn!

The projection was good quality. I wish it was in the El Rey (it has been in years past) because I love old theaters, but the venue worked and was plenty big enough.

Didn't notice posters/advertising about town. Might be a good idea to spread the word to the townsfolk. Attendance wasn't bad, but one of the filmmakers from Redding accounted for a lot of the audience.

Overall was a very pleasant weekend (it was also a great kickoff to my summer vacation). I would definitely enter again.
