Detours International Film Festival (DIFF) Short Film Showcase is Florida's premiere international showcase celebrating underrepresented storytellers from around the world without the "politics". We are a festival for filmmakers by filmmakers!

DIFF Short Film Showcase is co-founded by Marisol Robles and Chris Greene, both experienced storytellers in their own right, both sharing the common goal of brining new and authentic short films from different minority communities to the big screen.

DIFF's Annual Short Film Showcase, though a smaller event from our main festival, still maintains the focus on storytelling to the highest degree with the spotlight on Short Films from all over the globe!

Winners of the BEST SHORT FILM and FAN FAVORITE FILM categories from each showcase receive free entry into DIFF's Major Film Festival* that same year (see below for restrictions). Our selection and voting committee is comprised of industry professionals across all major film unions and they view submissions from each and every filmmaker before making their selections.

Can't make the showcase in person? We got you covered! All official selections are streamed via our official website and YouTube Channel so those who love film and want to support independent filmmakers, can by watching these amazing stories anywhere in the world!

We thank you for considering DIFF's Short Film Showcase as your next festival submission and remember...

"ALL ROADS LEAD HERE!"

I had such an incredible time screening my film “The Lord of All Future Space & Time” at Detours. Marisol, Chris, and their team put together a fantastic weekend and a truly top-notch festival experience.

Everyone attending, the filmmakers and surrounding community alike, could sense the passion and care in every detail. From the gift bags to the red carpet photos and interviews and (best of all) the chance to see our films on the big screen in a real-deal movie theater, everyone there felt like a superstar.

It’s no surprise Detours is growing by leaps and bounds. I highly recommend this festival, and can’t wait to see where it goes in the future!
