I thoroughly enjoyed this year's VFF and was honoured to have my film screen. The crew running it is mostly relatively new and they brought real enthusiasm to their jobs, and were all incredibly friendly. The volunteer base is deep and very experienced so it all runs very well. The programming hits the right balance between audience pleasers and often challenging work.
The industry panels and pitch sessions were excellent, but if I had one quibble, it would be I wanted a bit more face time at the pitch sessions. The parties are great and I met some wonderful potential collaborators.
It was real good. Thanks VFF!
