I had a wonderful experience screening They Call Me the Tattoo Witch at the Waco Independent Film Festival. The festival director was incredibly kind, and the whole team was welcoming and professional. They really care about their filmmakers. We were honored to be nominated for Best Short Documentary! Such a supportive and well-run event. Thank you, Waco!

Unbelievably crushed I couldn’t attend, but the communication and updates were top notch. I went through and checked out some of the lineup as well and I was very impressed.

The team behind Waco is nothing short of amazing. I, as other filmmakers can relate, couldn't make it because a job came up. The festival runners were so understanding and kept tight communication with me. As the festival wrapped - I got word my short doc Far West brought home best short doc of the fest! They quickly sent it to my studio back in NYC and I received a lovely care package from them. Absolutely incredible piece that is now sitting right next to where all the magic happens - the edit bay. You can tell they care about their filmmakers and their festival - it made me even more upset I couldn't go! Guess I got to get cracking on the next one! Thank you WACO!!!!

This is such a wonderfully organized festival! This really is the platonic ideal of the smaller film festival, I am so glad I applied.

Thank you WacoIndie for an unforgettable festival! It was full of great films, great people, wonderful events, thoughtful panels, open and receptive audiences and lots of surprises. The biggest surprise of all - winning Programmer's Choice Award for my feature documentary, Life is Dance. It's in pride of place in my Glasgow flat. If you get the chance go!
