There are a variety of awards for selected films across the weekend, including Best Short Film, Best Feature Film, Best Documentary, Best Music Video, Best Actor, and Best Student Film.

Our Social and Political Awareness Film Award recognizes thought-provoking work that shed light and raise awareness, inspiring positive change. By delving into topics such as human rights, inequality, discrimination, and environmental sustainability, these movies challenge societal norms and encourage viewers to engage in meaningful conversations. This award honours filmmakers who fearlessly tackle important issues and use their craft to ignite social consciousness.

Last year we introduced our LBGTQ+ Award! After 2 successful screenings with Inishowen Pride, we wanted to specifically recognise the contribution of filmmakers who amplify the voices and experiences of the LGBTQ+ community. By addressing themes like acceptance, love, equality, and self-discovery, these films contribute to a more inclusive and understanding society. The LGBTQ+ Film Award recognizes filmmakers who depict the rich diversity of the LGBTQ community, fostering empathy, respect, and appreciation for their stories.

Great festival in a beautiful location. Ballyliffin hotel looked after us really well, rooms are lovely and the food was good. Michael was a pleasure to work with, good communication from the team and as a film maker made us feel part of the whole experience. Thanks for selecting our work and hopefully see you next year.
