CDFF is an annual international film festival exclusively for journalism students, producing short docs. The festival gives future professionals an international platform needed for further development of their careers
APPLICATION
Enrollment only via the appropriate registration form available at FilmFreeway. The regular registration form can be found on https://filmfreeway.com/festival/CampusDoc and needs to be filled in and signed by the copyright owner of the entered production. For the submis-sion your artwork is required. This is an obligatory application demand.
The lenght of each documentary is 20’00” (at maximum). All productions produced within the last two years are admissible., calculated from the festival weekend. Productions older than two years cannot take part in the competition.
We vastly prefer online submissions either a private/password protected vimeo/YouTube link. If your film is selected for screening we will provide full technical specifications. On behalf of the screening program, a copy of your production of should be entered and available at the latest the first of May 2017 in DCP.
If your submission is selected, you will be notified by e-mail in the end of March. Accepted filmmakers will be given one free admission pass to the festival. We cannot help with any transportation, food or lodging costs. In case of coming to the festival we need to know by May 20, 2017 at last.
As a condition of entering the CampusDoc Film Festival. hereafter known CDFF, I/we hereby certify that:
I/we am/are the sole creator(s) of the documentary, which I/we have submitted to the CDFF.
I/we am/are still a student or recently graduated (max. two years) at a university or a poly- technical.
I/we guarantee as sole and exclusive owner(s) of all legal right and title there to have absolute authority to submit the enclosed material to CDFF.
I/we understand that the CDFF will not return and is not obligated to return my film or any other materials I/we have submitted to the CDFF.
I/we hereby grant the CDFF the nonexclusive right to use my name, photograph, and like-ness in connection with any and all publicity and promotional activities regarding the CDFF
For filmmakers: CDFF may transfer the submitted material to DCP for screening, if needed, and if the submitted material is selected for screening the submitted material may be used by CDFF for promotional purposes.
I/we will indemnify and hold harmless CDFF, its judges, sponsors and partners, individually and collectively, from and against all claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, liabilities and expenses including legal expenses arising out of or in connection with any and all claims, or third party claims based on material submitted to CDFF.
I/we shall be solely responsible for taking all necessary steps to establish and protect my/our copyright in the submitted material, and the CDFF shall have no obligation with respect thereto. The CDFF FF shall have the right to reproduce all or part of said material for use in its publicity and any and all related communication directly associated with CDFF.
I/we have read all of the festival rules, regulations and releases,understand them, and have complied with them. I/we understand that the festival rules, regulations and releases may change or be updated, and that it is my responsibility to read, understand and comply with any changes or updates.
All productions must be presented by an online (secure) screener (preferably VIMEO or Youtube). If the screener is not available on FilmFreeway send it to info@campusdoc.net.
The productions must be furnished with the English language and/or subtitling. The productions must fulfill the minimum of technical performance demands, e.g. sound and nd picture on a professional bearer and foreseen.
