The SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s New York Short Film Showcase is a cinematic celebration of new projects by union performers, designed to encourage performers to create their own short films and web series.

Held twice a year, in March and September, the showcase features a shorts program, followed by a Q&A with the films’ directors, producers and actors present at the screening.

Had a great time and was very happy to be included in this festival. Communication was great though sadly because of rain and no shows we had a fairly small house that evening. We got notice that we could have more tix but it was day of and too late to get anyone there. Other than that though it was a lovely group of people and a diverse selection of films.

Melissa and the entire team at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation NY offices were incredibly helpful, kind and accommodating to us. We were so appreciative to have the opportunity to screen our film, THE OBITUARY, at the SAG Short Film Showcase. It was a very memorable evening full of great films. It was also nice to share our work with fellow SAG-AFTRA members at the beautiful Robin Williams Center right on Broadway. Love the foundation! Thank you for all that you do!! :)

We had a wonderful time screening our short film 'Marisol' at the Foundation. Communication was wonderful, and they allowed us to bring 5 guests, which was perfect for the size of our cast. The Q&A was well moderated, and the audience was respectful and generous. Proud to have screened for and with my union! Thank you, SAG-AFTRA Foundation!

What an incredible event! Beautiful screening facility, full house with actors and industry, and a great q and a with all the filmmakers. Everyone working at the event knows who you are and are excited about your film being selected. I highly recommend submitting here if you have used SAG/Aftra actors in your film.
