The Expresso 90 Second Film Festival is a brand new film event for Birmingham that calls upon young and student film-makers to create compelling and engaging super short films. The panel will be looking for films that arrest, entertain, provoke thought and showcase the sophisticated abilities needed to produce fully rounded productions in such a limited time frame.

10 external finalists will be entered into the festival alongside the student entries from Solihull College and Northampton University. Out of this nominated pool, one winner will be selected by the festival's panel. The winning film will run at The Mockingbird before features for the duration of May. The winner will also receive the coveted Expresso 90 trophy and prize.

We want to see imaginative and engaging films created by students and young people.

The competition is open to anyone 25 and under or currently enrolled on a Higher Education course.

Your film must be 90 seconds or less in duration excluding the credits.
