A stage where film-makers and film-enthusiasts come together to express and indulge in a diversity of films. Come dive into a panorama of ideas from around the globe this year with Fergusson Short Film Festival 2.0!

Get a chance to win various awards such as- Best Direction, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Script, Best Sound, Best Animation, Best Film, etc.! The winning films will be selected by a panel consisting of experts from the industry itself.

• Eligibility criteria: Participants must be 15 years of age on or before the 1st of January 2019.

• Technical criteria: - Short films must be in ‘PAL’ format only. NTSC is NOT accepted. Festival organizers will not be responsible if the film is not screened due to problems with uploading. Short films can be Fiction /NON-Fiction/ Animation. The total running time of short films must be more than 6 minutes and less than 30 minutes in length, including opening and end credits. Short films can be in any language and any genre. All films must have English subtitles for festival presentation irrespective of language.

• Other: - Multiple entries can be submitted, but with separate submissions. Each film can be considered as a new and separate entry. Department of Media and Communication studies have the right to use entries/ send /selected/nominated films and materials from the entries for FERGUSSON COLLEGE’S FSFF 2019 promotional purposes. Films once selected and submitted for screenings will not be allowed to be withdrawn under any circumstances until the festival is over. Entries incorrect/ inadequate/ illegible/ ambiguous particulars will not be considered and will be disqualified. Festival organizers reserve the right to accept or refuse any film without assigning any reason whatsoever.

• Entry fee criteria: - No entry fee is collected from the applicant to submit his/her film for Fergusson College’s Fergusson short film festival 2019.

• Legal implications: - Short films that are submitted should be entrants’ original work and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties. Contestants agree that they have obtained all required permission regarding music, sound and/or visuals presented in the respective short films. FSFF 2019 reserves the right to not screen any films at any reason it deems valid at any given point of time after submission to FSFF 2019. The contestants may also risk being prosecuted as per the INDIAN PENAL CODE and INDIAN MEDIA LAW for any offense or infringement. Racial, religious, regional discriminations should be avoided strictly, in the film.
