ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The annual Silver Wave Film Festival features something for everyone. The event offers a showcase of multicultural, international, French and English programming of all genres and lengths and a comprehensive industry series which brings experienced and emerging producers and filmmakers together.

Silver Wave is jam packed with exciting events and programming with diversity and depth. The Festival is the brainchild of the board and staff at the New Brunswick Filmmakers’ Co-operative and is the staff's volunteer labour.

16) Best Canadian or International Short (open to eligible short Canadian or International shorts outside of NB)

17) Best Genre Short (non-drama films including comedy(open to eligible short NB films/videos

18) Jim Lavoie Film Recognition Award for a person, group or organization who has contributed significantly to film and video in a professional capacity

19) Picaroons Brian Carty Film Recognition Award for a person, group, or organization who has contributed significantly to film and video in New Brunswick in a volunteer capacity. ($500.00 cash award)

23) Jane LeBlanc Filmmaker Award ($1880.00 value) (for first time Filmmakers

Chosen by the fest audience online.

All films suitable for festival showcasing are accepted from around the world.
The festival is focused on shorts primarily and accepts 2 to 3 fictional feature films annually.
Films must not be older than 2 years.
The majority of the awards are focused on NB shorts made by NB resident filmmakers.
There is an award for films from away.
For non-English films, subtitles are required.
When submitting please include full crew & cast lists, address, email, posters, stills, headshots and bios and film project info.
Online, HD links are the preferred method to download films. (dropbox, google drive, other online transfer programs)
Filmmakers must have the rights to all images and music in their film.
