Films that have been submitted for consideration in previous years are eligible for re-submission only if significant changes have been made to the film. A detailed list of the changes must be included in the submission packet.

Please do not email us links to new versions of your film after you have completed your submission. We are only able to judge ONE version of each film.

For submission purposes, online screeners may be works-in-progress, films with temporary soundtracks or digital outputs. Rough cuts and works-in-progress can ONLY be submitted in the FINAL deadline and if the completed film will be available by September 15th, 2026.

  • Our short Very Prosperous Men premiered here in 2025 and we could not have been happier!
Well programmed! Rachel and the team are great with communication and especially work to make it easy and fun to connect filmmakers with each other for networking/engagement. There were several events/meetups curated for networking, parties, etc.
Can not emphasize how amazing that part was!
Additionally, I was approached by a potential investor after our screening, so I'm tellin ya... Screamfest rocks!
And, you really can't beat screening at the TLC Chinese Theatres. Phenomenal sound and screens! 10/10

Screamfest rules. Playing our film at TCL on the big screen was thrilling. Our block was programmed so well. Especially appreciate the shorts blocks not having 10-12 shorts. Perfect amount. Great fest!

  • Screamfest was a blast. Such an honor to be part of such a well respected festival. Not only did we get to play alongside some really excellent films, but also got to speak to Rachel and learn about the history of the festival, and it's amazing what she was able to build from the ground up.
