What a wonderful and long-standing festival! I could not have received a warmer welcome from Erika Tucker, the festival programmer. Having worked in coordination and programming in film festivals myself over the past few years, the genuine concern for putting on a quality presentation of merit is apparent. Thank you!

  • Really great overall festival. I wasn't able to attend this year, but was very happy to be an official selection! Communication with the festival was alright, took from 1-3 business days to receive responses to emails. I hope to attend in the future!

Hands down the best festival I've ever experienced as a filmmaker. The programmers and the entire staff are just remarkable. So generous with their time, so supportive and so genuinely for you as the filmmaker. The programmer assigned to us was Tina Ryder and when I talked to the other filmmakers whose films she was also looking after we all compared notes and asked the same question: "How does she make you feel like you're the only one?!!" The support I've had from NBFF for our film has been outstanding and continued after the festival finished. We were given two screenings and they really helped us with ticketing as we sold out both screenings. The quality of the theatres themselves were fantastic with those big leather seats that recline etc. The parties were great and really well attended and there was some excellent networking due to the quality of the films programmed in the festival. There was ample opportunity to invite and get in front of press, which helped us and there were so many great workshops and movies to see throughout the festival that I found myself often torn about what to choose! Overall it was simply the best festival I've had the privilege to screen at and I can't thank Tina and Sorrell and Gregg Schwenk and the rest of the team at NBFF enough for all they did for us and the film. (Thank you for the award too - stoked!)
