We had a great experience screening "G[r]o[w]ing Up" at the Newport Beach Film Festival. The screening room at the Triangle Cinemas in Newport Beach was fantastic. Also, the other films in our block were high quality. I live in LA so I didn't arrange any housing through them and I only interacted with them via email and for my screening, so I can't speak to what the experience is like to be a visiting filmmaker. Networking options have been pretty good at this festival.

Newport Beach Film Festival was an incredible Festival to attend. By far the best festival in regards to communication and organization. It was incredible how amazing they run things. You are put in contact with your screening programmer and they help with any questions and promotions leading up to the festival. Tod Brewster was one of our programmers, and even though it was his first year doing so, he was amazing and a huge help. Not just for our screening, but with everything from helping get in contact with the right people and even helping distribute our postcards! NBFF even has an amazing educational program they run alongside the festival. Catherine Dickinson, helped us to take our film, Time Well Spent, to different schools in the county to hold Q and A's and special screenings. Thank you Tod and Catherine and thank you Newport Beach Film Fest. It was an honor to show our Doc at your festival and an honor to win the Audience Choice Award for Action Sports. Cheers!
