Montreal Women Film Festival stands as a beacon of empowerment, creativity, and innovation, shining a spotlight on the outstanding work of women in film and media.

The screenings at Cinema du Parc, in partnership with Women Cinema Daily magazine, highlight a variety of genres to celebrate International Women's Day. These events, both live and online, showcase the influence of independent female filmmakers who produce short films and features across drama, documentary, animation, experimental, and other genres. Every season, we organize a competition that is recognized by IMDb for female artists in different categories.

The first edition of Montreal Women Film Festival kicked off a few years ago at the Cinema du Parc for the International Women's Day on March 8th when Linda Serpone, the President of Montreal Council of Women spoke about the importance of the festival and its role in recognizing and screening films dealing with women's rights and promoting women directors.

We have collaborated with event organizers, digital platforms, and magazines to support female talents in media. Our aim is to provide women directors with opportunities for digital and cinema screenings. Our team is dedicated to showcasing emerging and established international and Canadian female filmmakers across various genres.

Throughout the year, we highlight, market, and screen female talents and film projects in partnership with Women Cinema Daily magazine, which is committed to promoting and showcasing female talents year-round from our festival.

So proud to be an award winner in this great festival. It was a real surprise and a great honour! It is important that there are such festivals and I am glad that the film NEITHER LiVING NOR DEAD and the stories that are shown there will be available to more viewers and more people will know about the forced disappearances in the North Caucasus!
