The CF Awareness Film Festival is a unique collaboration between The Bonnell Foundation and the I See You Awards. We are looking for films include crew or an actor that has cystic fibrosis.

Let's get creative and submit your best short or feature film! We are looking forward to seeing your work! Either the director, producer, actor or someone on the camera crew has to have cystic fibrosis. Please let us know what that person is. Thank you! We can't wait to see what you've produced!

Awards & Prizes

We will award a beautiful, specially-designed certificate to one winner in each of the short and feature film categories.

We will also award a CF Choice winner in both the short and feature film categories. These two awards will be selected by the audience, which will view the entries between June 14th and 16th, 2021.

All of the winners will be featured in a special blog post on both The Bonnell Foundation website and on the I See You Awards website. The winners will also be interviewed on a joint podcast hosted by representatives of The Bonnell Foundation and the I See You Awards.

Rules & Terms

Entries submitted as short films cannot exceed 30 minutes in length.

Entries that are 31 minutes or longer must be submitted in the feature film category.

Submission fees are due at the time of entry. Submission fees are non-refundable.

Upload a letter stating your diagnosis from your CF clinic on letterhead. Student entries need to include proof on either your school's letterhead or a copy of your student ID.

Winners, other than in the People's Choice category, will be decided on by the judges, whose decision is final. Winners in the People's Choice category will be voted on by the public, which will have an opportunity to watch the movies during the week of our virtual film festival, scheduled for Monday, May 24, through Monday, May 31, 2021.

All entries must be submitted digitally via FilmFreeway.

The judges will decide which entries are Official Selections. The Official Selections will automatically be included in the online film festival.

The winners will be notified no later than the evening of Thursday, June 3, 2021, during an Instagram Live announcement.
