BSF 2020 will screen in Barcelona in October 2020. All of the films will have English Subtitles.

BSF is an international, juried short film festival, created in 2017 and based in Barcelona, Spain. BSF screens outstanding short film, animation, docs, experimental and video art. We understand that some short film and video blur the lines of typical film festival categories, so we also enthusiastically encourage non-traditional and experimental formats.

The stories of and by women, girls and non-binary people are underrepresented in film festivals, so we want to encourage submissions from anyone self-identifying as a woman, non-binary and/or anyone telling stories about women, girls and non-binary people.

An international jury will select the winning categories including, Best International Short Film or Video 2020, which will receive 1000€.

BSF is run by Assoicació Techne Barcelona, a non-profit organization for the promotion and showcasing of art. Associació Techne Barcelona supports a culture of equality, diversity and non-discrimination.

Great festival hosted by really nice people all around! It was the perfect way to premiere our short film, Chess and Laundry. Held in an incredible venue that takes pride in its state of the art sound, and ran by people who really care about films, I highly recommend submitting to BSF!

This festival is hands down one of the best that my movie has been selected in. The diversity of movies there is really great. The people from the organization are lovely and very easy to talk to.

We were honored that our animated Short "Lost and Found" was selected to Barcelona ISFVF.
The communication was fantastic! The festival website showcased the films and their screening times beautifully, and we received timely updates by email. The festival did great work on social media (FB and IG) as well, mentioning and tagging our film and our studio.

We were invited to attend - but unfortunately were not able to make it from abroad.

A great festival! Thanks for making us part of it.
