Welcome to LA Indie Shorts Fest!

LA Indie Shorts is an international annual event and seasonal competition that celebrates independent short films from all genres worldwide. The festival emphasizes unique narratives and artistic expressions, honoring the creativity of independent filmmakers and inspiring new storytellers.

Our goal is to support and acknowledge the power of short filmmaking and indie filmmakers. We aim to market, screen, and provide tools for distributing short films.

We view independent cinema as a universal language that transcends borders, unites communities, and reflects the full spectrum of the human experience. We are dedicated to short filmmaking, striving to support, promote, award, and showcase independent American and international short films. Our goal is to offer filmmakers significant exposure to industry experts, critics, and audiences. LA Indie Shorts celebrates creative storytelling and encourages the appreciation of short-form and independent cinema on a global scale.

Rules & Terms

Films must have been completed in the past 2 years.
Films must be less than 50 minutes.
Scripts must be less than 50 pages.
The festival will only communicate with the submitter of the project.
All rights are cleared for film projects and the festival is not responsible for any copyright issues.
