Great venue and great VIP pre-party. My biggest complaint is that finalist only had about 10 seconds of their footage shown. I’ve had finalists in film festivals/drone film festivals from NY to Chicago to Vegas to LA and every time a finalist had their film shown in its entirety. It’s pretty disappointing to travel a long distance only to find out your film is cut down to 10 seconds. The point of these film festivals is recognition and exposure to those attending. 10 seconds doesn’t cut it. If it were the Emmys and everyone had seen all the nominees then a 10 second refresher is fine but at this sort of event there’s a good chance no one in the audience has seen the film. Cut back on the pre event festivities if time is a concern but there’s no reason why every finalist can’t be shown in full. Every film festival I’ve attended all across the country had all films shown in their entirety. There was no communication that this would be the case. Please make it clear if this style of screening will continue with future festivals. Several of the winners films were also shown in the wrong frame rate which resulted in the footage not playing back smoothly. These sort of things must be addressed prior to being shown on the big screen.

This was a very exciting and organized event. Though I didn't attend, it was great to see the community that the festival brought together through social media. Applied this year and will definitely apply next year. Thank you so much!
