Film Night is a student made, student run film festival. It began in 2010 when an 18 year old film lover, Alex Watrous, wanted to show off his projects to his friends. It then grew tremendously and ran from the start date, November 2010 to 2012 occurring every month. The event helped young and ambitious film makers gain exposure and feedback on their work. Welcome to Film Night: Education Connection! Students! Submit your short documentary/mockymentary film of any kind for absolutley no charge! This event is held in Bristol, Rhode Island at Rogers Free Library. Q&As after your film is shown are available if you wish! This is a public event and anybody is welcome to join. Admission is free and snacks will be available for purchase! Any money raised will help to continue the event into the future!
Welcome to Film Night: Education Connection! Hosted by Summer Rhynard, Alex Watrous, and Dennis Lonardo.

This is a student oriented festival, so nothing incredibly raunchy! Keep all submissions PG-13; no intense gore or nudity. All genres are accepted for submission but they must be made by a student. For the actual event of film night, no alcohol/drug use permitted in the venue. Be respectful of the space! This is an event for all ages, so respect the fellow viewers/film makers as well. Thank you!

Thank you Film Night! My music video “ILL” was chosen and my crew and I are super grateful to be shown in a different state. It’s super important that students support other student filmmakers!
