The 49th Annual ICVM Crown Awards are the longest-running awards given that recognize and lift up the very best in Christian movies, documentaries, shorts, educational and church programming, foreign films, and more!

This year’s 5 Finalists in each category will be announced during THE ICVM STORYTELLERS CONFERENCE from November 10-13 in Orlando, Florida at the Rosen Centre Hotel. Join filmmakers from all over the world for four days of networking, education, seminars, popcorn night, Pitch-a-thon, screenings, fun and worship -- with Crown Award Finalists announced on the final day! You'll make friends here, guaranteed. Sign up for the Storytellers Conference NOW at: Early bird rates until Sept. 1st! Be there when the Finalists are announced!

The ICVM Crown Awards Ceremony announcing the top 3 winners in each category will be held at the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) Media Convention from March 8-11, 2022 in Nashville at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. You won't want to miss it, as NRB is the world's largest gathering of film, TV and radio communicators. Attending gives our Finalists a great shot at valuable publicity and promotion for themselves and their films. NRB also holds great film seminars and networking events -- and hosts its very popular Film Pitch-a-thon, giving you opportunities to pitch one-on-one to distributors you choose!

ICVM members get a 50% discount on submission fees for your film(s), so join ICVM now: (Discount does not apply to Student category, as that fee is already discounted.) Your project can be submitted in multiple categories if you choose.

ICVM Gold, Silver and Bronze Crown Awards are given for each category. Some categories have prize money attached. In 2021, a prize of $2,500 was given for Best Picture! Amount and categories for 2022 TBA.

The winners will be selected from the Finalists announced at the ICVM Storytellers Conference, and ICVM Crown Gold, Silver and Bronze Award winners will be announced at a special ICVM Crown Awards Ceremony on the main stage during the NRB Christian Media Convention in Nashville, TN from March 8-11, 2022.

Submissions are open to filmmakers with a finished project with Christian content or Christian values, that fits one or more of our 16 categories, and and are handled by the FilmFreeway submissions process.  We have had several entries that are clearly NOT Christian in any way, where the submitters had clearly not read what our ICVM Crown Awards are about. PLEASE NOTE: There are no refunds for films disqualified for any reason.
Our pool of jurists come mostly from our ICVM members, so you are truly judged by your peers. They will review and score submissions by category. The top 5 submissions in each category will become the Finalists for that category. Become an ICVM member, and you can judge films (just not any your film is in!)
The jurist’s votes will be tallied to determine the Gold, Silver and Bronze ICVM Crown Award Winners for each category.
The Best Picture category winners will be voted on by the ICVM board and selected from the finalists in the following categories: Best Comedy, Best Documentary Under $50k, Best Documentary Over $50k, Best Foreign Production, Best Narrative Under $250k, Best Narrative Over $250k, Best Evangelistic Production.

We were first-time submitters to the ICVM Crown Awards and new to what the ICVM is all about, so we did not know what to expect. Unfortunately we missed the on-line broadcast for the nominated films, but we were honored to find out that our feature documentary, HOPE IN THE HOLY LAND, was nominated, and we are really looking forward to the announcement of the winners at the National Religious Broadcasters convention in 2021.

This is such an amazing festival. Fun and well organized. There were numerous informative panel discussions about various topics and I was able to connect directly with some of the speakers and get their contact details. The 1-on-1 pitchathon was amazing, as I got to speak to heads of industry at Pureflix, Provident, BMG and Collide Media. The attendees are from all walks of life, from award winning filmmakers to students and amateur artists just starting out in the movie industry. Definitely worth every cent.

This has been one of the best film festival online experiences I have seen in 2020. Very well done how they still made it engaging and personal and enabled people to meet online. Also very honoured and thrilled to have been nominated for Best Worship/Music Video and really hope I can attend in person in the future.
