The Oniros Film Awards® is an International Monthly IMDb Qualifying competition with a public Screening Event held in New York City every three months, celebrating films and filmmakers from all around the world. Our mission is to discover high quality and ambitious films, to promote filmmakers’ works and to be the next step in their career. Every month, our Jury will award the best films through private screenings. Every submitter can enter multiple categories to increase their probability to win an award. Every Official Selection, Semi-Finalist, Finalist and Winner will receive our Official Laurels. Award Winners will also receive our Official Certificate in HQ digital format, will be listed on our website, may order their Trophy and may upload their credits on IMDb.

Every three months, some of the Best Short films of every month will be chosen by the Jury to be screened during our public Screening Event at Producer’s Club, in the very heart of Manhattan, in New York City.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: Feature Film, Short Films, Documentaries, TV/Web-Series, Series Pilots, Student Films, Animations, Trailers, Music Videos, Commercials and Experimental Films. We accept films of any genres, length and language. Non-English films must have English subtitles.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT: 1. Amateur videos. 2. Extremist or propaganda content from religious or political organizations. 3. Pornography. 4. Films with a poor production standard (bad sound, lack of subtitles/captions for non-English films, video resolution lower than 1080p HD). 5. We don’t accept scripts. 6. We don't accept excerpts/scenes from films: you must submit the entire film.

By submitting your film, take note that: The Oniros Film Awards is hereby granted the rights to utilize an excerpt (trailer/teaser/poster/stills) from any film submitted for promotional purposes. The films will not be available online. Multiple entries are allowed for each filmmaker and each entry may be submitted to multiple categories. Winning categories vary every month depending on the submissions we receive. If we think the categories submitted are not to a standard of the Oniros Film Awards win, they will be removed. The Competition reserves the right to refuse entries and the Jury can remove a movie from the competition at any time. Entry fees are non-refundable.
The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for possible screening (private and/or public) and understands and accepts these requirements, rules and regulations. Only some of the Best Short Films of the month will be selected by the Jury for the Screening Event we host at Producer’s Club, in the very heart of Manhattan, New York City, every three months. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Oniros Film Awards, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney’s fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss or damage of the screening videos entered.

  • The Oniros Film Awards is a wonderful festival which genuinely acknowledges the hard work we film makers put into our creative output. It was an honor to have my short film 'Letting Go' reach the finals. Thank you to all involved in assisting me through the process. I look forward to submitting future projects into your highly regarded festival.

  • It is with great honour to have my union featurette: "The Devil's Tail" (2020) placed in "Oniros Film Awards" as: Finalist - Best Romance Short; Finalist - Best Screenplay, and Grand Jury Award - Romance. In light of Covid-19 and all the unseen challenges that film festivals have had on a global scale, the "Oniros Film Awards" great organization and communications has allowed us, and followers, to continue on track. Your online presence of posting the results is also much appreciated. My cast, crew, and associates, have eagerly posted "the good news" on social media. Although travel restrictions this year are so complex, we still look forward to any, and all changes to promote our "dreams on paper - to the big screen." Thank you "Oniros Film Awards!"
