Why define the world in narrow terms, when we can open the lens wide and truly see?

Let’s Start The Revolution is an international short film competition organized by the Camera Femina Foundation. We invite filmmakers from all over the world to submit works that explore feminism, queerness, ecology, and pressing social issues — with boldness, empathy, and originality.

We believe in stories that challenge, inspire, and ignite.

We believe in voices too often overlooked — and in the transformative power of perspective.

That’s why we prioritize giving space to creative women and queer filmmakers, celebrating the richness of their experiences, identities, and visions.

Let’s Start The Revolution values not only political and collective narratives, but also intimate, personal stories and individual experiences — told with honesty, nuance, and care.

This competition isn’t about outrage —
it’s about courage, tenderness, joy, and change.

It’s about showing that another world is not only possible, but already taking shape — frame by frame, story by story.

So come as you are. Show us what matters to you.

Let’s start the revolution — with your film.

It’s an honor to have been part of the official selection, and we are deeply grateful for these spaces that allow us to exist as women who write and direct our own stories. In the rural areas of Ecuador, cinema is being made too.
