Rod Sáez boasts over 20 years of experience in the cinema industry, having worked on music videos for renowned bands such as Faith No More, Soul Asylum, E-MEN, Therion, Kreator, and Lacrimosa, among others. He has also been instrumental in promoting independent cinema through various film festivals that are known for showcasing talented filmmakers.

In 2016, Rod Sáez and Soledad Cáceres founded Cintamani Films, an independent cinema agency that has produced many captivating films in Chile and co-produced several globally recognized productions. In fact, three of the films distributed by Cintamani and two of the films co-produced by Soledad and Rod were shortlisted for the Academy Awards in October 2021.
