The inaugural Bendigo International Short Film Festival hits the golden city for a celebration of short film making.

There will be two sessions - a screening of the best films from around the world, followed by the Bendigo Competition - short films that MUST contain the word "Bendigo".

Prizes of $1000 and $500.

Entries in this category MUST include the word "Bendigo" in the film, either visually or in dialogue, as set by the rules and conditions. Films do not need to be set in Bendigo, but the word must appear. (Entries entered in the wrong category will not be considered for screening).

Bendigo International Short Film Festival Terms and Conditions

1. BISFF accepts films from around the globe.

2. BISFF accepts all genres of fiction, and documentary shorts.

3. Films submitted must be no longer than 15 minutes, inclusive of credits.

4. The producer grants BISFF the rights to:
(a) Exhibit the film in the Bendigo International Short Film Festival and to be considered as part of the festival regional tour, and;
(b) use images or clips of the production for promotional purposes.

5. The producer warrants to the BISFF that they have obtained all the necessary permissions to enter this film and that the film does not infringe the rights, including copyright, of any third party. This includes use of music and literary material.

6. All productions screened at 2019 Bendigo International Film Festival must have been completed within 3 years of the entry closing date.

7. Entries cannot be withdrawn after November 1st, 2019. By submitting your film to the BISFF for consideration, you acknowledge this condition of entry and waive your right to withdraw your film from the Festival after this date.

8. If your film is selected for the Festival, you will be sent an email confirmation by November 11th 2019.

9. Entries for the Bendigo Competition do not need to be made or set in Bendigo, but the word Bendigo must appear either in foreground audio (not in conversation or broadcast in background) or the word appear visually on screen for at least 4 continuous seconds and no smaller than a quarter of the screen. Please ensure you pronounce the word correctly!

10. BISFF only screens digital productions from file, we DO NOT screen from Beta SP, HDCam or DVD. To ensure your entry is screened correctly, you must include screening gauge and ratio details as requested on the entry form.

11. The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
