"Can you believe it's TEN YEARS?!" Join us during this decadal survey of sci-fi excellence.
It is a celebration of old and new. As one of the oldest science fiction festivals, we will present you with a selection of insights and stories never seen. There is plenty of planning and work to do. We are open to participants planetwide to join us in the beautiful city of Miami, Florida.

The intent of SciFi Miami is to showcase the best in Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, Comedy, and other imaginatively-themed films from around the world. This celebration is in the trendy and progressively global megalopolis of Miami, Florida. Our creative and inspirational environment is ideal for exploring films that ponder the infinite possibilities our multiverse holds.

There will be workshops, panels, and lectures. In addition to this ninth season, the Film Market will be available. We have invited distributors to connect with filmmakers.

Notifications typically begin a week after the last submission date. So grab tickets early, inform your friends, and prepare for the best original content to reach South Florida.

Content submitted to the SciFi Miami festival will be promoted on our website, in printed materials (such as the festival program), and in our press and marketing activity (this can include presenting films that we have selected to the press). The filmmaker gives us the right to use the name of the film, the images submitted for the uses listed. We also inquire if the filmmaker wants to screen their film at tours or similar activities; as we often get asked to provide guest spots at other festivals and events.

Once a film is officially accepted to the festival, the filmmaker can no longer withdraw it from the festival lineup. The filmmaker is also responsible for submitting the screening materials at least four weeks before the festival. If the screening will be a world premiere, please let us know as we will do our best to promote to the local community, and please keep us abreast of your production and marketing activities!

Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt (about 1 minute or less) from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Miami International Science Fiction Film Festival or its assignees, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.

MiSciFi was a great experience. Nice to see the depth of creativity and the number of people making the effort to create very professional work about things they believe in!

This festival so welcoming, genuinely passionate and fun. I could not attend in person but the communication was so good and so personal that I did feel part of the festival fun and excitement. The organisers really organise well but never forget the that these are personal creative outputs we are putting out into the world and I was treated with genuine respect and enthusiasm. …And I owe the festival organisers a great debt of thanks for contacting me after I submitted the film via FilmFreeway, to point out my film had no sound on it (I had uploaded the wrong version), they had loads of films to watch and could have discarded my entry but instead they rang me up (on the other side of the Atlantic) to let me know. They didn’t have to do that but as I said before, indicates the care, passion and dedication of this excellent festival.

I entered the screenplay competition. The script was based on the Sci-fi novel, "Ashes of Dust." The feed back I received was better than excellent. I was treated with respect and honor. This is a very professional festival and I give them the highest of praises. -R.W. McClure
