SUBMISSIONS ARE OPEN!

This is a one day film festival showcasing short indie horror and sci-fi films held in Flint, Michigan at Mott Community College. We had a great first year and look forward to building on that success.

Our submission fee is $2 with a low entry cost for people coming to the show.
We are a small show run by passionate fans trying to support independent films and the local horror scene.

While we would love to have filmmakers in attendance for the event we do understand that many of you submitting will be unable to attend but we will find ways for you to participate in the festival somehow if we choose your film.

We are looking for short (under one hour) horror and science fiction films but will consider dark fantasy.

We accept DVDs and digital submissions.

We want the film, and details about the film for submission - director, writer, actors...
If it is accepted for the festival we will ask for the poster and other information for sharing.

PLEASE only submit HORROR, SCIENCE FICTION, or DARK FANTASY. We are primarily looking for horror but are open to the other two genres as well. We are getting great entries but are getting a lot of films that do not fit our festival and it's slowing our process down.

MUST be a student of a Flint, MI/Genesee County, Michigan school to win the JON COCKERILL MEMORIAL AWARD.

MUST be a Michigan based filmmaker to win the CHARLES SHAVER MEMORIAL AWARD.

Man, I'm bummed I missed this one. You can tell how cool these guys are just from their fun emails. They have a bonafide Ghoul Crew -- how cool is that? I've been hearing great things about what's happening in Flint and my interactions with this team indicate it's all true. Sounds like a great film community and I plan to visit whether or not I screen there again. And if I wasn't already impressed enough, imagine my delight when they asked me to shoot a video of myself to accept an award for their ceremony. I am so honored and delighted our film got to participate and can't wait to do so myself in person next time.
