  • "As a screenwriter, finding a platform that truly champions independent artistic expression can be a challenge, but the Los Angeles Film and Script Festival excels at bridging that gap. Their mission to provide writers and filmmakers with genuine production and distribution opportunities is evident in how they curate and celebrate original voices.

I am incredibly honored that my script, DEAD EAST: Nippon Flight 319, was awarded Best Script in the Horror category. For an 'apocalyptic thriller' that relies on claustrophobic tension and visceral pacing, receiving this accolade from a festival that values creativity across such diverse categories is a significant milestone.

    About the Project:
Dead East is a high-altitude survival thriller blending the 'no-exit' dread of Blood Red Sky with the kinetic energy of 28 Days Later. The story follows a haunted veteran trapped on a 'red-eye' flight that becomes ground zero for a global plague. Even an emergency landing in Honolulu offers no sanctuary—only delivering the apocalypse to the last untouched paradise on Earth.

Thank you to the LAFSF team for providing a stage for independent creators to receive the recognition they deserve. I highly recommend this festival to any writer looking to elevate their work and connect with the heart of the indie film community."
