Thank you LA Film and Script Fest for selecting my short film. Overall the experience was good. The other films selected were good. The film festival itself was straightforward at a small theater in Hollywood. A couple things to note: there was not a whole lot of communication with the festival. They had a short panel discussion at the end of the screening and invited the filmmakers to the front. They asked questions like what was your biggest influence etc. They also give you a certificate and there is a photo op in front of their background. After the screening you can stick around and speak to the other filmmakers but there is no formal networking event. It would be nice to learn a little more about who his behind the festival and who selects the films. Even though the theater was small it was not filled. There were no problems buying tickets.
