Our first time screening at the SHORTS! Film Festival could not have gone better. They were very communicative, accommodating, and did everything they could to position our film well for press, social media, and networking. Very well attended and curated, and a ton of new friends and connections as a result. Can't wait for next year!

    SCAM!!!
I was told I was nominated, so I flew to Europe for its inclusion in the Ardelion awards. There was zero communication about the event itself, which was concerning. And then they didn’t even include my short. The panel even confirmed it was nominated. Don’t waste your time, this is a scam!!!

    Response from festival:

Thanks a lot for your review. We’re truly sorry for your experience and understand your frustration. Your short was officially nominated, reviewed by our jury, and included in the festival you attended yourself and was therefore able to see firsthand that it took place as scheduled with nominees, guests, and our judging panel present.

As we discussed, due to an internal administrative mistake, your project was unfortunately not included in the nomination video shown during the event, but this did not affect your nomination in anyway, but of course, we sincerely regret this oversight.

As soon as this was confirmed, we issued you a full refund as a gesture of good faith. While we respect your feelings, we want to be clear that the event and judging process were legitimate, so being called a “scam” is deeply concerning to us, as it does not reflect the reality of what occurred.

We wish you the best of luck with your future projects and filmmaking career!
