The Virginia Independent Horror Film Festival started as a one day festival in Richmond, Virginia aimed at promoting locally made films and businesses. As we have grown, we have moved the festival to Winchester, Virginia, in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. We are working to expand our reach into the Mid Atlantic and beyond. This year we are taking over Halloween weekend at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema! What started out as a one day festival, has grown each year and will be a four day event in 2015.

As the date of the festival grows nearer, the information on the website will change to reflect a more concrete schedule. Keep checking back to view special announcements, feature film selections, the Homegrown Horror Showcase lineup, and more!
