Seeking submissions from Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee!

Tributary is hosted by the merchants of Historic Downtown Sikeston, Missouri. We aim to support the development of regional filmmakers and to provide a forum for regional subjects.

In 2016, Tributary includes a 24 hour cell phone film challenge. Register your team and the phone you will shoot on at 6pm on Friday, July 15. We'll give you a prop and a line of dialogue. Shoot and edit a 1-4 minute film, using only your phone and the prop and line provided, and email us a Vimeo link to your finished film by 6pm on Saturday, July 16. Films may be edited on computers and with any software, but no other cameras may be used. We will screen submissions live at 9pm on Saturday, July 16.

All those whose films are selected for Tributary are invited to attend the festival for free. Directors, Producers, writers, and actors will be invited to sit on pannels between screenings. We hope this provides an outlet for both filmmakers and fans in our area to discuss their crafts or hobbies.

Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to films in each category.

What a great film festival. Film makers there were top notch, very nice and approachable. Hope to have our next film done in time to enter. Thanks to everyone involved.

Excellent regional film festival. The organizers went above and beyond to make the event both welcoming and productive for filmmakers. Great opportunities for networking with other industry folks in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

The Tributary Film Festival was everything I want in a film festival: interesting films, plenty of networking opportunities, fun events for attending filmmakers, and plenty of down-home friendliness from the festival staff and community. I'm amazed that the event is only in its second year because everything ran incredibly smoothly and professionally. There were so many nice touches: free popcorn at every screening, musical entertainment, movie-themed cupcakes, an informative filmmakers panel, a gift pack from the Missouri Film Office, beautiful hand-made awards, cash prizes... they really packed a lot into two days. They even created one-of-a-kind posters for every participating film and made them available to the filmmakers, which is something I'd never seen done before. I really like what Colby Williams and the volunteers are doing with this festival, and I can't wait to watch it grow and develop. It's already near the top of my "favorite festivals" list, and I definitely hope to return next year.

I cannot say enough good about this festival. The chance to talk to other film makers, share stories, locations, information, ideas on distribution.... This was fantastic! Colby and his team did an amazing job! My only hope is that I get another film in it next year so I can go back
