After unprecedented success and overwhelming response to the first season, we are pleased to launch the second season of The Hague Global Cinema Festival. Screening of the films will be held in the prestigious Filmhuis, Den Haag (The Hague).
Cinema of all genres, any length and budget are welcome from all over the world.
No restriction on the year of making. May be your unrecognized old work gets discovered here.
A co-creators' workshop will be organized where you learn from the fellow professionals, share your experience and get potential partners/ financiers.
Works in progress are accepted provided the completion takes place before the event.
World premieres of the films are a high priority.
This is a special opportunity for filmmakers who don’t necessarily have a large budget, but a vision and an important story to tell. We are here to provide them with an international platform. We encourage experimentation and welcome out of the box ideas/content.
We will be handing out a number of awards at the event in a number of categories, selected and evaluated by our jury. We encourage you to submit to several categories in order to increase your chances of getting.
Selection and screening of the films will be as follows:
a) Official Selection: First Selection list will be named as "Official Selection". These films will get a Certificate of Official Selection.
b) FINALISTS: Second Selection will be from the Official Selection list. The films selected from the first list will be named as "FINALISTS". These films will qualify for screening depending upon requisite technical requirements of the Filmhuis like availability of the film in the DCP format.
c) SCREENING: Some of the FINALISTS will be selected for Screening,
d) AWARD WINNERS: Award will be announced on the last day of screening in the Award Ceremony.

Response from festival:
Thank you for raising the point. We appreciate your concern. Official Selection should ideally result in screening of the film-as a filmmaker I would also like it. But all selected films compete for Finalist and some of the finalists are screened. We could not screen even all the Finalists because of several limitations. For our season-2 which will be held on 13-14-15 Nov 2020, we will be able to screen more films because we will have more than double screening time. You have produced an excellent piece of cinema. I hope to see you next year in The Hague Global Cinema Festival. Happy holidays, Merry X-Mas and Happy New Year....Regards, Avnish Rajvanshi
Response from festival:
Dear Ilia, Thank you for your comment. You have produced an excellent film therefore it made to the Finalist. Congratulations!
If you check your mail box, we had explicitly replied to your e-mail (dated 13th of September) on the same day that you can send us a link for DCP.
So you were given a chance.
Many filmmakers successfully did it.
Out of 48 finalists we selected 22 for screening and 26 were dropped despite many of these were in the DCP format. We followed certain criteria. We are happy to talk to you over the phone if you have some more queries.
