The creators of Avalonia Festival (avaloniafestival.com) are proud to present the

We are currently accepting entries into our FOURTH ANNUAL SEASON in 2027.

Our third Live Event was held at The Literary Lounge in Jacksonville, Florida, on May 16, 2026 at 5pm, in their brand-new event space. We will return to the same venue on May 15, 2027!

The festivities include a Q and A with whichever filmmakers are able to attend in person.

Attendance is free-for-all. RSVPs are encouraged but not required.

We have four run-time divisions. The earlier you enter and the shorter your film, the lower the entry fee!

Out of fairness to all filmmakers and to keep our festival sustainable, we no longer grant full entry fee waivers. To do so, undermines all the filmmakers that pay the entry fees. That being said...

Your one entry fee per film qualifies your film for ALL of the above awards!

We will send our well-designed Award Certificates to you via email for your home printing and social media purposes.

For those who can attend our Live Festival on May 16, you will be invited and encouraged (but not required) to share your thoughts with our live audience in a Q&A session.

Your single entry fee makes your project eligible for all of the awards in your run-time division as well as the Cast & Crew awards.

If you wish, we will put your YouTube or Vimeo link of your Award-Winning Short Film on our website.

Filmmakers retain ALL rights and ownership of their work.

We do not pay screening fees. We do NOT require or use DCP for our Live Event.

Our Live Event on Saturday, May 15, 2027, is free for filmmakers, cast, crew, their friends & family, and film fans.

RSVPs are highly suggested for attending filmmakers so we can have a special introduction prepared for you. There will be complimentary light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Very happy to be a part of the festival and to be chosen for an award! This was the last festival of our run for 'Couple Goals' so it was a great note to end on. Good communication all round. Recommended!

    I wasn’t able to attend , so I can’t rate hospitality or networking, but their professional and joy behind their efforts certainly came through in all the communication I had with them.

    I’m especially grateful that they saw past my film’s irreverent and, possibly, controversial spin and instead focused on the merits of the film’s theme.

    Honored just to be included but to win Best VFX AND Best Burlesque/Risque on top of that = minds blown! Also, super cool to learn the actual definition of burlesque. I had no idea.
    We were bummed we couldn't attend but if it was handeled with the same level of joy and professionalism as everything else I'm sure the screening was fantastic.
