El Festival Internacional de Cine Horror en Banfield nace con la idea central de difundir y promover el cine independiente de género de terror y al mismo tiempo con la intención de crear un espacio de intercambio cultural entre los amantes de este género.

Horror en Banfield es un espacio de proyección de películas, cortometrajes y videoclips al mismo tiempo que un punto de encuentro para disfrutar de una experiencia integral que incluye a directores, actores, productores, estudiantes y amantes de la cultura del terror.

The International Horror Film Festival in Banfield was born with the central idea of disseminating and promoting independent horror genre cinema and at the same time with the intention of creating a space for cultural exchange between lovers of this genre.

Horror in Banfield is a space for the screening of films, short films and video clips as well as a meeting point to enjoy a comprehensive experience that includes directors, actors, producers, students and lovers of horror culture.

Rules & Terms

Bases y condiciones

Solo se admiten obras audiovisuales en el formato de cortometraje o largometraje (ficción o documental) del género de terror en cualquiera de sus subgéneros: slasher, gore, suspenso, thriller, acción, aventura, fantasía y ciencia ficción.

Los eventuales gastos de envío corren por cuenta de los participantes, el festival no
pagará ninguna tasa por el envío de copias ni derecho a proyección.
La fecha de producción de la obra audiovisual no debe ser anterior a enero del año 2022.

Si la obra audiovisual no es hablada en español debe proporcionarse el correspondiente subtítulo en castellano por medio de archivo .srt.

En caso de ser seleccionado, el envío del material se hará de forma virtual a través de un link de descarga por google drive (o sistema similar, sin fecha de caducidad del material). Se informará a los seleccionados sobre la fecha límite para el envío de copia de proyección. Si la copia no es entregada dentro de la fecha solicitada, la organización podrá optar por dar de baja su selección.

La fecha límite de postulación es el 10 de julio de 2024.
El festival se reserva el derecho a cambios imprevistos en la fecha.

La fecha y hora de cada proyección será definida por los organizadores.
La entrega del material se realizará en formato FHD 1080p o UHD 3840x2160p.

La proyección de las obras seleccionadas será presencial y en formato digital.
Los participantes, dueños y/o representantes de la pieza audiovisual seleccionada ceden los derechos de su exhibición al festival “Horror en Banfield”, y se consideran responsables de contar con los permisos correspondientes para la proyección del material que envía.

Festival Horror en Banfield se desvincula de cualquier tipo de responsabilidad o eventual perjuicio. Festival Horror en Banfield no se hace responsable de cualquier inconveniente derivado del potencial incumplimiento de cualquier norma legal que afecte los derechos y/o la reproducción de la pieza audiovisual.

Festival Horror en Banfield se compromete a hacer uso del material enviado solo con fines inherentes a la promoción y/o difusión del festival así como también a proyectar el material seleccionado de manera responsable y únicamente dentro del marco del festival en una fecha y horario oportunamente informados a los dueños y/o representantes de la pieza audiovisual seleccionada.

La participación en la convocatoria implica la aceptación de las presentes bases y condiciones. Cualquier asunto que surja a lo largo del festival no contemplado en este documento será decidido por la organización del festival.

El anuncio de los ganadores se realizará al cierre del festival. El mismo será publicado en nuestras redes sociales y se notificará a los ganadores de cada categoría vía mail en conjunto con su diploma en formato digital.

El festival se desarrollará en la ciudad de Banfield en el mes de septiembre de 2024. Fecha inicial 27, 28 y 29 con posibilidad de modificación ante cualquier eventualidad.

Terms and conditions

Only audiovisual works in the format of short or feature films (fiction or documentary) of the horror genre in any of its subgenres: slasher, gore, suspense, thriller, action, adventure, fantasy and science fiction.

The production date of the audiovisual work must be no earlier than January 2022.

If the audiovisual work is not spoken in Spanish, the corresponding subtitle in Spanish must be provided by means of an .srt file.

If selected, the material will be sent virtually through a download link via google drive (or similar system, with no expiry date for the material). Those selected will be informed of the deadline for sending the screening copy. If the copy is not delivered within the requested date, the organisation may decide to cancel the selection.

The deadline for applications is 10 July 2024.
The festival reserves the right to make unforeseen changes to the date.

The date and time of each screening will be defined by the organisers.
The material will be delivered in FHD 1080p or UHD 3840x2160p format.

The screening of the selected works will be in person and in digital format.
The participants, owners and/or representatives of the selected audiovisual piece cede the rights of its exhibition to the festival "Horror in Banfield", and consider themselves responsible for having the corresponding permissions for the projection of the material they send.

Festival Horror en Banfield is not responsible for any kind of responsibility or eventual damage. Festival Horror en Banfield is not responsible for any inconvenience derived from the potential breach of any legal norm that affects the rights and/or the reproduction of the audiovisual piece.

Festival Horror en Banfield undertakes to make use of the material sent only for purposes inherent to the promotion and/or dissemination of the festival as well as to screen the selected material in a responsible manner and only within the framework of the festival at a date and time duly informed to the owners and/or representatives of the selected audiovisual piece.

Participation in the call for entries implies acceptance of these terms and conditions. Any matter arising during the festival that is not covered in this document will be decided by the festival organisers.

The announcement of the winners will be made at the close of the festival. It will be published on our social networks and the winners of each category will be notified by email together with their diploma in digital format.

The festival will take place in the city of Banfield in September 2024. Initial date 27th, 28th and 29th with the possibility of modification in case of any eventuality.
