For the 9th year in a row Moving Images videodance festival is calling for submissions for our program which is happening this coming November. The idea of moving bodies and the camera have always shared a dynamic conversation. Through moving images and moving bodies, a dynamic conversation will be expressed on the screen.The ephemeral art of live movement and the perpetual nature of film.
Moving images(Nicosia , Cyprus) invites all genres of DANCE FILM making which includes whatever you consider to be your best move. Ballet, contemporary ,jazz,hip-hop,breaking.
Emerging artists and mature professionals can share their work with us and help us keep pushing boundaries and find new ways of expression and collaboration. You can visit our website and find more info of previous festivals. Dance Lab organizes Moving Images festival at Egomio Cultural Centre.
We invite all international and Cypriot artists of any style to submit their works.

Rules & Terms

-ONLY ONE VIDEODANCE FILM TO BE SUBMITTED-LENGTH MAXIMUM 10 MINUTES
DOCUMENTARIES ACCEPTED ONLY IF THEY PRESENT THE WORK OF DANCE ARTISTS.
-Moving images(Nicosia , Cyprus) invites all genres of videodance film making which includes whatever you consider to be your best move. Ballet, contemporary ,jazz,hip-hop,breaking,authentic movement.
-Participants must be 18 years old to apply.
-By submitting a film, you agree that if the film is accepted for screening, short excerpts of it, still images or music may be used by Moving Images festival or third-party claims in trailers or other video materials promoting Moving Images videodance festival , 8th edition.
-Each artist can submit ONLY ONE WORK
-The participants confirm and guarantee to hold all the copyrights and the authorization of the performers, artists and the crew involved in this whole work in order to apply to the Open Call.
-You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Moving Images Festival and its representatives from any and all claims, actions and judgments, including all costs of defense and attorney´s fees against any third-party.
-IMPORTANT| Title appears at the beginning of your videodance and all credits appear at the end of your film.
-Length of the works must not exceed 10 MINUTES
-If films have text in any language (except Greek) without english subtitles the films will not be evaluated.
-The artists will be notified by e-mail
-All entry applications submitted in this platform will automatically authorize Moving Images to use and edit the submitted videos texts, stills and other elements for promotional purposes at no cost.
-Participation in the Festival implies acceptance of these Rules and Terms.
FORMATS
Please provide a high resolution copy of the screenings encoded in .mp4 or .mov files
VIDEO:High profile HD,264,1920X1080
-Include at least two still photos size 1600 pixels wide with your submission (or minimum 1MB)Please give photo credit.
All works should be submitted through FilmFreeway.
