Queen City Cinephiles is an independent film-screening & discussion group based out of Charlotte, NC. We are committed to showcasing short and full length independent films, exposing film aficionados to more independent film, and supporting local and international filmmakers.

We run 6 themed film screening events per year in the Charlotte, NC area . You may submit any number of films here for consideration.

We are currently looking for film submissions for a variety of film genres to fill the calendar in 2019.
February – Black History Month
April – Transformation & Culture
June – LGBTQ Pride
August – Sex & Relationships
October – Films with a Twist
December – Disabled Persons Awareness
Please send a link to your film, synopsis, and any promotional materials you would like used, and a 720p or higher file of your film, if selected.

Awards & Prizes

Selected Films will receive the QCC Laurel image.
Audiences will rate the films in each event. Based on those ratings, there will be one Cinephile Favorite per month, earning a Certificate and $50 Paypal reward.

Love the use of technology to bring the audience closer to the filmmakers who are unable to travel to Charlotte, NC. Audience was excellent and the feedback was incredible.

    Queen City Cinephiles Independent Film Screening and Discussion Festival involves a intimate crowd that offers variety of topics each month. The monthly topics are relevant and current. We as artists are able to experience different perspectives from films from all over the world. To be a part of a selective group was truly a highlight for me. The festival is well organized and interactive. Communication was very easy. Submit to this festival. You will not regret it!!
