Led by Executive Directors Lana Read and Nancy Pushkar, the Inside the Loop Film Festival will be a highly curated film festival with a focus on independent film and individual filmmaking vision. While filmmakers from around the globe are welcome to submit, ILFF has a keen interest in highlighting and promoting the work of filmmakers and films that hail from the state of Ohio.

“While a number of films have been shot and produced in the Sharonville and Cincinnati area, as well as elsewhere in Ohio, independent films and filmmakers have not received the respect and attention we have long felt is due them for their talents, their vision, and entrepreneurial spirit. We saw a need to create a home for the work of those filmmakers, placed alongside the best of truly independent filmmaking that our programming staff has discovered via submissions or that they have seen at the top festivals around the country. " -Lana Read

“The Sharonville community has demonstrated a great appreciation for film and the arts and the Sharonville Cultural Center has been described a wonderful jewel box of a theater, newly retrofitted with state-of-the-art sound and projection. It’s a perfect location to host an event like this and bring local Ohio film fans together with the artists that make those films. We look forward to being a matchmaker of sorts between talented filmmakers from around the country and the very enthusiastic film fans of Sharonville and Cincinnati.” -Nancy Pushkar

Inside the Loop FF will also organize a host of activities for the festival focused on the craft and artistry of independent filmmaking, including moderated Q&As with filmmakers, panel discussions, networking events, and a red carpet gala.

Had a great time at this festival. Everyone was very welcoming. I met some really nice filmmakers. Most of the other attendees were from the area, and I was from another state, so not as much networking, but I will most likely stay in touch with the people I did meet. They were very ncie and really talented.

Inside The Loop is an excellent venue for filmmakers and a memorable event for film lovers. Our experience was enjoyable at all levels. Lana Read and Nancy Pushkar have been personable and professional at all stages. The entire team showed great respect for each film being screened, as well as welcoming to each audience.
I hope to screen my next project at next year's Inside The Loop.

Communication from the organizers was top-notch, and they did a GREART job of introducing filmmakers to each other with a wonderful (and informative) roundtable discussion. They really made this festival about the films and their creators, and I would HIGHLY encourage everyone to enter (and attend) this festival.

This was the 1st year for this festival, and they put a lot of work into it. The theatre was very nice and had good sound quality. The picture quality was great too.

Their communication was very good. Only one festival I have experience with has better communication, which is why they got a 4 and not a 5.

The hospitality was wonderful. They had a side room for the filmmakers, where we could enjoy snack trays of cheeses, fruits, veggies and cookies, as well as wine and water. Filmmakers could gather in there, 4 or 5 at a time comfortably, and chat about their projects, and I enjoyed that. That's also why the networking gets 5 stars, because one nice thing about the size of the festival is that you're up close and personal with your peers.

What this festival did VERY well is program their films. I saw a couple of fantastic works that I wouldn't have seen otherwise, and I'm very thankful for that. This festival is very worthy of a larger venue and certainly a larger audience, and the people behind the scenes are passionate about films and off-the-charts great to their filmmakers. I see a great future for the Inside The Loop festival.
