The Edinburgh International University Film Festival (EIUFF) debuted in 2025, hosted in The Scottish Storytelling Centre and the French Institute of Edinburgh. Organised by students and recent graduates, EIUFF unites creative and academic communities, offering a platform for emerging filmmakers. It showcases student films, connects emerging filmmakers with industry professionals, and includes workshops, panels, galas and networking events. EIUFF aims to nurture young filmmakers, highlighting their talent and perspectives, and bridging education with the film industry.

Each of the 5 categories will have 5 films shortlisted for screening at the festival. Our judging panels will select one film as the winner for each category. Additionally, there will be an audience award given to one film across the entire festival based on our audience voting system.

So thankful to be part of this amazing festival. I won my first award in the program ‘States of Mind’ - very happy with it. I love the focus on the inside world and feel honored to be curated with my Scottish film. Such a nice team making so many filmmakers visible. Thanks again from the Netherlands!
