SUMMER SHORT SERIES (July, August & September)
"CK Film Club: Summer Shorts Series" is a celebration of short-form storytelling, featuring 7–10 independent short films each screening night from filmmakers across New York, the United States, and around the world, hosted at various venues across NYC.

From drama and comedy to documentary, animation, and experimental work, the Summer Shorts Series highlights a diverse range of voices, styles, and perspectives. Audiences will have the opportunity to discover exciting emerging filmmakers, participate in post-screening discussions, and connect with fellow creatives in a relaxed, community-driven atmosphere.

Each event is a chance to experience the future of independent cinema—one short film at a time.

WINTER SERIES
"CK Film Club: Winter Series" showcases outstanding independent feature films paired with one or two carefully selected short films, creating a curated theatrical experience that celebrates storytelling in both long- and short-form formats hosted at the iconic Brooklyn Art Haus in Williamsburg.

Each screening spotlights a feature film from an independent filmmaker whose work deserves to be experienced with an audience, while the accompanying shorts introduce audiences to rising voices and innovative storytellers. Select screenings may include filmmaker Q&As, panel discussions, and networking receptions, offering deeper insight into the creative process behind the films. The Winter Series is designed to bring filmmakers, cinephiles, and local creatives together for an evening of meaningful cinema, conversation, and community.

We look forward to welcoming filmmakers from around the world and creating a home for independent film in New York City and beyond.

The goals of CK Film Club are simple:
1. Champion Independent Voices
Showcase bold, original films from a diverse range of filmmakers, highlighting the creativity, perspectives, and stories that make independent cinema so vital.

2. Expand Access to Independent Film
Bring exceptional independent films to communities around the world, creating opportunities for audiences to discover work they might not otherwise have the chance to experience.

3. Build Meaningful Creative Connections
Create a welcoming space where filmmakers, local creatives, and passionate film lovers can come together to share ideas, spark collaborations, and engage in intimate conversations about the art of cinema.

4. Strengthen the Independent Film Community
Foster a growing network of artists and audiences who support one another, celebrate emerging talent, and help independent filmmaking thrive both locally and globally.
