Join us November 13-15, 2026 for the second annual Philly Animation Festival, partnered with Moore College of Art & Design, celebrating the diversity of expression through animation during a three-day festival showcasing the creativity of animation artists from around the globe including film screenings, animation workshops, and family friendly events. For its inaugural year, special guest artists have been invited to kick off the festival, and will be announced soon!

Eligibility: Films must be completed between January 2024-present. The exception is for student films. Please email us at phillyanimationfest@gmail.com for more information.

Animation Technique: All forms of moving image are accepted. However, animation as opposed to live-action film must be the dominant technique.

Content: Films with discriminatory and/or offensive content will not be considered for acceptance.

Language: Original language with English subtitles.

Aspect Ratio: Any ratio, but must be letterboxed for 9:16 format.

Length: All submissions must be between 1-20 minutes.

Screening Format: Minimum 1920 x 1080 resolution

Student Films: Must have been initiated while a student at an institution (secondary school and higher education)

You may only submit to one category. Submit to the category that best describes your film. Jurors may reach out to request that your film be screened in a different category if appropriate.
