'Ignite' is a celebration of creativity through film. Nothing excites us more than seeing films that surprise us and show us things that we have never seen before. We love the non-conforming, the extraordinary - the films that dare to do things that others won't.

We are excited to welcome independent films produced around the globe - films that showcase diverse creativity from every culture.

For Ignite 2023 we ask you to join us in our incredible home - 'The Parade Cinema'. This stunning independent state-of-the-art cinema in the beautiful town of Marlborough, a fantastic part of the UK, with a fully licensed bar and a fantastic cafe is the perfect setting for the Ignite Film Festival.

During the event we will be showcasing our fantastic officially selected films, hosting networking sessions, and presenting our ambitious plans for the future of Ignite Film Festival. In addition to this we will be giving attendees the opportunity to put their questions to some of the selected film makers during our exclusive Q&A sessions. A perfect opportunity for filmmakers and film lovers to engage directly.

Ignite Film Festival will be closed out by a lavish gala awards night where you can expect red carpets, black ties, glamorous gowns, champagne, awards and celebrations - closely followed by networking and celebrations for as long as you can manage it.

Our core values are simple:

Ignite creativity.
Support independent filmmakers.
Provide a diverse platform.
Have fun doing it.

It was such an honoured to be part of Ignite's 2022 festival edition. Ignite has a warm and welcoming approach with filmmakers, the team has a lot of enthusiasm and passion - I felt incredibly supported by Billie, Ross and Amalia! A beautifully curated festival program which I was proud to have my film involved in. The communication was superb and will definitely be submitting my next film to this wonderful festival!

Thank you so much Hayley for the kind words. We were so pleased to be able to screen 'This Is Zoe' - and to also host a Q&A session during the festival with Stephen and Dom. It was so insightful and went down really well with our audience. We can't wait to see what comes next for you and the rest of the team.

It was a pleasure to screen your brilliant short film 'Guiltea' - a very well received screening on our Friday night. We wish you all the best with the film

  • I want to thank the Ignite Film Festival for accepting our film, the first film festival that gave our film visibility. What stood out for me was the quality of films they accepted within their lineup. The level of sophistication and cinematic craftsmanship was high. This festival supports the filmmaker, and the merit of the piece itself, and that's vital in a world obsessed with mediocrity. Thank you again Ignite, it was such a thrill to have our World Premiere with you.

Thanks you so much, Tory, for your kind words. We were really excited to give this fantastically poignant film a well deserved film festival premier. The feedback was incredible at the screening - specifically aimed at your mesmerising performance which was well deserving of it's award nomination. We have loved seeing the subsequent support and accolades this film has received since our screening - a testament to you and your entire team. Good luck in whatever comes next for you

Much appreciated, James. 'Tethered' is such a unique and beautiful animation - a perfect visualisation of your fantastic poetry. A very worthy nomination for best animation. Thanks for being a part of Ignite 22

  • Ignite festival asked me to write a review. If you are applying to the ignite film festival you would have had a fair bit of film festival rejection so you might use somebody like the film festival doctor. Ignite film festival get films from the film festival doctor so they service each other. Who neither actually service, is the filmmaker, they have their objectives and creators of art continue to be exploited and they think we are stupid. The trophy I received said it all, it didn’t have my name on it, was very dirty, yes dirty and had many logos of the ignite film festival on it
