The International Independent Film Festival Hollywood awards quarterly laurels to winners and official selections in the feature and short categories, narrative and documentary, foreign language and student films. IIFFH also awards laurels for the cinematic crafts of writer, director, actor, producer, editor, and cinematographer.

Quarterly IIFFH winners automatically earn nominations for the annual Gran Prix in their respective categories at the inaugural IIFFH FESTIVAL event at the historic RALEIGH STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD, a Hollywood institution since 1915. Live screenings and Gran Prix award presentations will take place in theaters at Raleigh Studios Hollywood on December 11, 2021, and will be preceded by a two-day program of virtual screenings on December 9th and 10th. The live screenings and award presentation will be preceded by an arrival reception and a post-awards reception at Raleigh Studios Hollywood.

A truly international festival, IIFF HOLLYWOOD was created to celebrate, showcase, and acknowledge the individual and diverse talents of aspiring filmmakers in the U.S. and abroad.

Each quarter, IIFFH will select Official Selections and Winners in each category. All Official Selections and Winners in any film or filmmaker category will be awarded the IIFF Hollywood laurel, and a win in any film or filmmaker category serves as an automatic nomination for the Gran Prix awards in the annual IIFFH festival event.

All submissions will initially be judged through private screenings by a jury of award-winning Hollywood writers, directors, and/or producers. Then, prior to the annual IIFFH festival event on December 9th through the 11th, 2021, finalists in the major film categories will be selected, announced, and programmed for live audience and/or virtual screenings during the IIFFH Festival.

All submitters are encouraged to enter their films in as many categories as pertain to their film and/or filmmakers, and an award, official selection, or nomination in one category does not disqualify a film or filmmaker from any other categories.

IIFFH accepts submissions in any genre, length, and language provided that any film not in English must include subtitles in English. An exception to this rule is any film in a foreign language where dialogue is not substantially necessary to properly judge the film, and where the filmmaker expressly chooses to have their film judged accordingly.

In order to preserve the validity and integrity of the IIFFH laurels, if any category lacks sufficient submissions to warrant the awarding of selections or a laurel, IIFFH reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to either suspend the award until such time as sufficient submissions have been received to warrant the awarding or a laurel, or, to refund submission fees to filmmakers whose category was not judged and awarded a laurel. Submission fees are non-refundable except for the limited instance outlined above.

IIFFH reserves the right to refuse entries at its sole discretion.

By submitting to IIFFH, the filmmaker agrees to indemnify and hold harmless IIFFH from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney’s fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, or screening.

By submitting your film, you acknowledge that you have read, understand and accept the aforementioned rules and regulations.
