The Foothills Film Festival will be held at the beautiful Legrand Center in Shelby NC on March 11th and 12th. The Foothills Film Festival is excited to spotlight indie films that display storytelling in a unique, diverse and tasteful manner. This festival encourages emerging filmmakers with connections to North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, Florida and Alabama to submit their short films, which will be judged by our esteemed panel. The Foothills Film Festival welcomes works from all categories so long as they abide by the guidelines listed under the “Rules and Regulations” section outlined below.
The FFF focuses on films from or about the Southeast that captivate both the audience and the judges. The FFF is committed to creating an environment that encourages emerging film makers as well as those who have dedicated themselves to film-making over the years. This festival will be one to remember and will feature short films from multiple categories.

IMPORTANT: ALL FILMS MUST HAVE A CONNECTION TO NORTH CAROLINA, SOUTH CAROLINA, GEORGIA, TENNESSEE. VIRGINIA, ALABAMA OR FLORIDA TO BE CONSIDERED. (No refund will be issued to a submission failing the eligibility rules.)
RUNNING TIME : FFF accepts films with a minimum. run time of 1 min. and a maximum run time of 60 min..
LANGUAGE: Films must be in English or contain English subtitles.
SCREENING FORMAT: All selected films will be downloaded via FilmFreeway. All filmmakers should take the proper steps in allowing us to do so, either by downloading the movie file itself or by you providing a downloadable link.
SCREENING DISPLAY MEDIA: All submissions must include the completed information on the "Overview", "Credits" and "Specifications" pages for their films listing on FilmFreeway. This information is essential to FFF in the promoting of your film and our festival.
Foothills Film Festival will review and make a determination if it is believed that adult content (i.e. language, sexual content, nudity, violence) is not acceptable for the festival. If accepted, and is determined that content is not family- friendly, it may be screened at a later time slot. However, the festival does reserve the right to refuse any submission if deemed unfit for our viewers.
