Fear Fete has been recognized as one of the best horror film festivals in the country, earning numerous awards from respected industry organizations and the media. Fear Fete works closely with several media and distribution partners to bring horror film fans the best independent films from around the world.

Awards are given to all film category winners in attendance, as well as several top category awards by our judges. All film submissions are viewed by several distribution partners for possible distribution offers and television play. This year, the top film in each category will be awarded cash.
$500-1st place feature film
$250-1st place short film
$125-1st place micro-short film

Fear Fete only accepts online screeners. Please provide a valid hosted URL and any login credentials needed (if applicable).

Film Entry Rules
Film must be considered in the horror genre and have runtime between 1-150 minutes.
Film must be completely edited and in its final completed form.
Film must have been released after January 1, 2016.
The film and all submitted content must have global rights to screen at the festival.
Film must not have had any commercial theatrical or television play in the United States.
Films in a language other than English must be subtitled in English.

If your film is selected, a representative of your film is required to attend. It's an honor to make the cut and all accepted films will receive an award and have the opportunity to discuss their film with a great audience and several possible film buyers.

Any film submitted after August 31, 2020 may not be considered for the 2020 festival.

Submitted Materials
Online screening link (hosted by submitter).
No press kits to be submitted in the submission process.

Terms and Conditions
Acceptance and final programming decisions are made by the festival directors.
Film selections will be announced a minimum 30 days prior to the film festival.
If selected, filmmakers will be required to provide a final exhibition IN DCP FORMAT 15 days prior to festival.
If selected, filmmakers will be required to supply necessary film promotional materials and press information.
Filmmakers may be asked to cooperate in video/editorial interviews, bios, etc for festival content.
We do not pay rental/licensing fees for films screening at the film festival.

By submitting, you grant Fear Fete the right to use all submitted materials including, but not limited to hard copy and electronic media, video footage, trailers, files, photographs, promotional items, etc. at our discretion for the promotional and screening use of the film festival.

    Even though I wasn´t able to attend to the festival, I´m very happy to have been part of the festival with my short film HAY ALGO EN LA OSCURIDAD (SOMETHING IN THE DARKNESS).
