Rules & Guidelines
All films submitted for entry at DroneUp International Film Festival must be:
6 minutes or less in length
Shot at least 50% by drone or UAV
Fall under one of the six DroneUp film categories
Submitted digitally by an upload through www.filmfreeway.com
All film submissions will be viewed and judged by an international DroneUp Jury consisting of industry professionals. The DroneUp Jury will shortlist all entries and announce a screening selection on July 30th, 2018. All shortlisted films are automatically nominated for the DroneUp Prizes.
If a video is selected for screening, the entrant will be required to submit a high-resolution exhibition quality digital file to enable the best presentation possible. DroneUp IFF reserves the right to convert sent files to alternate formats at the discretion of the festival manager to ensure optimal screening quality.
Submission Terms
By entering your film for consideration for the DroneUp International Film Festival, you hold full legal responsibility for the intellectual property contained within your film. You are validating that the submitted material does not infringe any applicable laws, is cleared for festival exhibition and all contents of the film are cleared with the respective copyright and intellectual property holders prior to submission to the festival.
Entry into the festival constitutes permission to exhibit your work at the DroneUp International Film Festival at the discretion of the festival director, including but not limited to public screening, website, print or other promotion.
The Festival reserves the right to use submitted films, in whole or in part for promotional purposes including but not limited to print, and television and internet broadcast in perpetuity.
